For trekking or traveller's maps of Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, I would recommend Leomann Maps - here is the coverage:

You can buy them in Stamfords, London; also online in places like http://www.themapshop.co.uk/india.htm and many others.

This is a bit outside the the original thread ( map one click/mail away) but you´ll be a lot better off with Olizane 1:150 000 Ladakh maps

instead of the 1:200 000 Leomanns ridge line maps.

My maps are too large to be scanned, and they are many. That's why a visit is necessary. At the moment I ahve loaned them to some one planning his trip. But after aweek....
