Great maps. It was only a couple of weeks ago that I spent most of a rainy day scanning a borrowed copy LP road atlas, these maps are almost identical.

Thanks Leith

i've just spent a few minutes looking at the south india areas, definitely a work in progress. no sravanabelagola, kumily, halebidu, national parks, etc. etc.

still, it's a good start. i'll be checking out their beta forums to see what's on the drawing boards.

A quite useful thing. I'll be using it a lot, but so far, there's a different level of satisfaction by orders of magnitude when I on Google Earth can identify my street in Sweden as well as places I visited in Delhi.

Should I see something on that page? All I get is a header, but no map of any sort.

Berkeley University Maps

Are the Berkeley Uni 1:250,000 maps still available? I looked but couldn't get past the Index map.

Oh my gods, this is an awesome map! I found the little town (little compared to Indian standards) I stayed in eastern UP. Sikandarpur, which is north of Ballia, basically on the border with Bihar. I could never get my hands on a map this specific. Wow, I can spend hours on this map! Cheers, Shaktipalooza!

Well I don't know the coordinates, but if you look between Varanasi and Patna, you'll see the town of Ballia inbetween them, and if you look north a bit, you'll see Sikandarpur. I don't know if this helps, but let's see what you can do! Cheers!

Hi,
I am going to India this summer. Do I need to bring a map of the country?
Can you recommend a special one?
Thank you.
