India Maps

Found a great India map site on an old Steven Ber thread, I thought it would be remiss of me not to repost.

I just had a look at the link and every time I try to click on a regional map the session times out - anyone else had this problem?

No, it's always worked for me, but I have a broadband connection, don't even try if you're on a dial up, the maps are massive.

Large files. Not recommended for slow connections.
Higher resolution & paper copies available in Library.

The site vaguely mentions the broadband connection required on the homepage!!!

Cheers,
Aadil.

just finished downloading ALL of the maps, beautiful.

707 megabytes in total, that's just about the capacity of a cd.

Well there is the clickable map. I downloaded the html and reset the links so it will work offline. Would also be very simple to have a list of cities that you could click to bring up the appropriate sheet.

I downloaded the maps partly to help with our site search in India.

I'm also working on a clickable rail map of India, this is more of a long term project but will be very handy with these maps. They might be old but they're probably about 95% accurate with current rail lines, easily adjusted with newer maps.

If you get a viable "clickable rail map" together

If you're not already doing so, a collusion with Steven Ber might be a wise move

I'll start a seperate thread looking for suggestions. I haven't mentioned this project to date but have been very impressed with the knowledge of people like Steven Ber.
