i think google earth does a better job

This is just the prototype you are viewing. This is the beginning stage of a research project the goal of which is to give the people of India (who have access to the internet!) who speak any of India's 114 languages equal access to the site. Right now it only has four languages and the most detailed info is on, not surprisingly, Bangalore.

Its in its early stages but not a patch on NASA World Wind or Google Earth yet.

Lets see if President Kalam makes any comments about this, he was very concerned about Google Earth and the security implications.
