Bidar town map ???

The LP states "Generally nobody goes to Bidar, and its not clear why."

Partly, its because they don't provide a town map for it.

Does anyone know of a town map for Bidar? All I can find on the net is district maps which don't really help.

Bidar is very small town with very few well built road tracks.
However historically it was an important place and some old tombs of Qutub shahi dynasty and madrasas including Bahmani mosque are worth seeing.

also if anyone knows exactly the timing of buses to/from Hyderabad would be appreciated.

Apparently (according to LP) there are 4 daily from Hyderabad to Bidar, but "several" from Bidar to Hyderabad (although that probably means 4 also).

If that's true, then its good news.

Shetty, that is a district map. I have found many of them. I am looking for a town map showing where the tourists sites in Bidar are and at least the bus/train stations on it.

Google translate does a decent job of the page - http://tinyurl.com/7vynn

welll better than staring at Japanese text

FWIW - I have found that getting detailed maps of places with Air Force bases in India a little tough.

It seems the Bidar bus is from platform 45 in MP station in Hyderabad. Not sure exactly how often they go but there was one waiting for me at 6am and left within a few minutes.

From Bidar back to Hyderabad there are plenty in the morning but not much in the afternoon.

Contrary to the LP there are direct buses to Bangalore. 3 deluxe government buses, and a number of private buses (all overnight).

Bidar is a nice little town. The only problem I had is that at the tombs, you tend to attract boys who are happy to destroy any serenity.
