Some India Travel Links
Some India Travel Links
Folks, I figured I'd collect some bookmarks of mine that I picked up over time, much of it probably from IndiaMike anyway, so thanks to all members (and to fellow mods for comments & additions)
Hopefully travelers to India will find them useful.
I am not connected to any of these sites and cannot vouch for them, and I only "know" them to the extent I ever use them, some more so, some less. See for yourself what you make of them.
Please feel free to add your own favorite India travel-related links collections; the more orderly you can present them, the more useful they will be to others.
This will likely be a post forever "under construction," so it'll change over time.
Anyway, happy browsing

Great, Great info
Thank you for sharing.

I'd like to include some other Subcontinent travel forums above, i.e., for Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh.
If members know of any good ones, please let us know. I'm not looking just for any old forum, so maybe include a brief description why you consider this or that forum to be particularly good.
Cheers.

For travel photography, you can't beat
Trek Earth
learn about the world through a lens.....
Also, Travel Independent is a great site for first-time travellers. Loads of tips on packing, on-the-road, etc, and a great destinations section.
And as well, I think Dr. Funkenstein's blog, Out There Somewhere, deserves a mention

Thanks, you're right. I consciously left out member's good blogs that I know of though, thinking it's beyond the scope of my post. You're welcome to add a list of your own though. Meanwhile, people can check out the Show us your website!!! and Do You Blog? threads for starters. machadinha... i bow to thee!! spectacular!

I noticed the link yes. Well, now cross-linked if it wasn't already
Say Mr. Overlander, don't tell me you haven't got some relevant forum links...
Oh, and thanks for people's thanks, of course

Another one for you Mach...
Kabul Caravan, for all things Afghanistan - it's run by Paul Clammer, who has just become the first LP writer to do an Afghanistan guide since the 70's.
He is one of the best LP writers I've used (along with Mark Elliot), and has a real passion for Afghanistan.

Consider it included (did you point to this before? Seems familiar, maybe didn't register as such.) C'mon, Conor, don't leave us hanging here, you must have many links in the field
Give us the "Overlanding to India and Beyond: The Links" section
