Where to move to?
My girlfriend and I are planning to move to India for a year, as I have various job offers as an English language teacher. We've both been to India several times, but not really lived in any city for longer than a few months, so we we're wondering if anyone has any recommendations, preferably larger cities.
Cheers |

Varanasi, Delhi and Bangalore
I've lived in the above cities and I'm in Bangalore at the moment, doing an english teaching kinda job. The major cities really offer quite different things but it depends alot on what you are looking for. For a nightlife- bombay- but it can be a claustrophobic city, for good work prospects Bangalore is pretty hard to beat, for history and culture Delhi is pretty good.
A major difference between bangalore and delhi, and this is part of the reason I made the move, is that delhi has access to the northern states and the mountains for relaxation and Bangalore has relatively better access to the beaches and southern states. |
