Where To Live In India
Where To Live In India
Im thinking of moving the family to india and setting up some sort of business.
ive been to goa....loved the south hated the north......and delhi was just to hectic (reminded me too much of london)
i want a slow pace of life etc like south goa(sun, sea etc) .....is there anywhere else similar to this in india, but where i could set up some sort of business.....now thats the difficult one as im not sure what i could do.south goa i think i would struggle to find something to do business wise.i have'nt the funds to go into real estate and rent out property etc as what many brits do.
the only things that come to mind is doing something touristy, or exporting goods. i come from a background of owning bars and clubs and dont really want to go down that road but the right place, right people etc i would consider it...at a push.
the bottom line is im not looking to make a million just to pay my way and get a business visa......any ideas

Hey lee, have you been to Vizag in Andhra Pradesh? It's a beautiful coastal city with lots of attractions in surrounding towns and villages, such as Araku, Vijayanagaram, etc... I really don't think this city has a good tourism appeal yet, maybe you can go there and do your research a bit and advertize and bring in more tourism?

lee - also check out threads re business visa in http://www.indiamike.com/india/india...-questions-f9/
there are some rules and regulations re foreigners or NRI's conducting businesses in India.
I live in Jaisalmer but it is hellishly hot for several months, so not that pleasant for a young family - I've always thought the hill areas would be nice to live, not so hot and humid!
