What is the best way to sell house in Goa ?
I need to sell my house in Goa ASAP - due to personal tragedy at home in US. Being 60 y.o, I think I may not go back again to LIVE in Goa, and I need to leave quickly...
The house is in North Goa - between Vagator (15 min walk to the beach and Badem (Assagao), in a fishing village, indian style (flat terrace roof), on a 200m of land, 230m build-up area : entry/breakfast room, kitchen with a gas (with cylinders)cooking isle/bar, dining room L-shaped with a living room thru arches, bathrom with a bath tub and toilet, washer/dryer area, large bedrom and 1/2 bedroom with the back door, can be used as storage. Due to recent scare and my need to leave ASAP,i.e., to get the money quickly, I need someone with residential status to buy it,if a foreigner...A brave one, I guess - since the unnecessary panis confuse many. But I don't know where to advertize the described above house, designed for living for a young -in- heart -couple that is retired, or someone single, interested in a scene of Vagator/Anjuna/Chapora. The house is on the shore, overlooking waters of the bay, Morgim and Chapora Fort. Price is 35 lakhs, including all the furniture, since I am going back to US such as iron bed, indian rajastani dining/living furniture, kitchen stuff - fridge, oven, stereo, TV - everything to move-in tomorrow and live - just buy sheets! Where can I place the advertisement for quick sale of such home? All the papers are in order and proper, with clear title belonging to me, the US citizen. May be any of the IMers are interested? ![]() |

Hi Kirpichik,
Sorry to know about your tragedy,But iam not sure if our smart moderators will allow this kind of post here (sort of advertisement) Anyway Iam interested so pm me your email-id and telephone no. Alternatively you can advertise on the classified section of all important local dailies especially on saturdays n sundays. You can also get in touch with some reputed local Real estate brokers. All the best |

sorry if it came out as an AD, I was hoping that all the broo-ha-ha around real estate in Goa can be helped for me by IMers, in order to handle my sale easily by finding a publication likely read by "resident" foreigners, or those not affraid of transaction like that with another one at such confusing time and so quickly!
And thanks for your big heart and compassion! |

dear wafc,
perhaps because in my case it was not intended as an advertisement, but a cry of help for an EMERGENCY sale - to people with "resident status" and the best way to find them. And where else could I get such info but IM...? I am greatful to mediators who let me be helped but those who replied, and many thanks to those that did - it is so inspiring to see how many people in this indifferent in many ways time have heart for others! By the way - Homes and Estates, who do cater mostly to foreigners, I did contact - and it was disappointing... their services desire improvement, to say the least. They only list properties - and provide no legal assistance or appraisal or client search, etc - even being titled "Consultants" , after you list, you're on your own, and for someone to see your place, they charge money to clients that are interested, and don't even allow buyers to bargain personally, only thru them, and also you have to find out if the title is clear and pay YOUR lawyer every time - they don't even check that before listing properties, as my friends found out after paying a lot for seing the properties listed, and when they finally chose one, and hired the lawyer to check the title - it was not clear! So, I don't recommend it... Again - thank you all who had a heart to offer me advice and help and sympathy! |

Oh dear, wafc. We don't alwaysnotice and we're not always consistent. Sorry if you feel you were treated unfairly, and glad that you are still around anyway.
It's true: the OP does read rather like an ad.... |

Dear Nick-H, what's OP? If it refers tome, please - I did not mean to put IM team anybody on the spot, or make others feel treated unfairly or intend my thread as an ad - being in the state I am, I guess I was groping at the straws, sorry... Feel free to cancel it, if this will make anyone to feel better. Sorry... |
