Studying at Central Hindi Institute, 12 nehru enclave, kalkaji, Delhi

Hi

Guys

I'm moving to Delhi in July this year for around 12 months. I have managed to find an apartment to rent fuuly furnished. But l have no idea of the local geography of the area or of price rentals. The landlord keeps saying everything is v safe etc and its only 3 miles from the college and is offering it at a discounted price as where students but for some reason l'm not quite convinced and hoping you guys can clear this one up for me.

The Flat is located at f-23, Press Enclave Saket. Consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 drawing/dining & kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 1 servant quarter, all over two floors. Apartment is fully furnished. Rental of rs 14,000 a month.

The Landlord said she would make the 3rd bedroom mostly available to us for guests but she would be staying from time to time but very rarely!!! Is this the norm over in India, due to squatters rights of some sort??

Hope you can offer some guidance on this one, cheers!

Welcome to the Kendriya Hindi Sanstha! Its been many moons since I did this in Delhi and costs have increased astronomically. The only way to reliably check this out is to look into alternatives. There is a nice map of Delhi online. Maybe one of the Dillivallas have the link and can say something about the area of your prospective apartment..

what is the college like? how fluent was your hindi after course? the course we are undertaking is for 10 months and is aimed at foreigners. Please let me
know any details about college and surrounding area,
