shipping stuff back to the US
Hi Friends,
I've been living in Punjab for a year and am heading back in September. I have a LOT of books to take home, and I'm trying to decide how best to do it. I don't think it's realistic to check them in as extra baggage, because I would have to check in 3-4 extra suitcases to get them all in. Does anyone know of the best private courier service in India, and how expensive it is to ship stuff home? Are there any other ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Never done this so the usual caveats apply but why don't you send it via the post office? They use air mail only now for international parcels. Max weight/parcel is 20 kg and to the us it would cost about 7400 Rs. You could also try 'bulk bag' and then surface mail would cost about 3000 Rs/ 30 kg. Don't think you could do it cheaper.
