Anyone have experience with Service Apartments in India, anywhere appreciated but anything specific to Chennai would be great.
From what I've read, this is a fairly new concept in India, and I'm curious if anyone has any first-hand knowledge or have stayed in one of these facilities. My corporation has set one up for me, but can't find any information on the web regarding the facilities, although I've been promised its "as Westernized as possible" -- whatever that means. :P Thanks, in advance, for any help. - B |

Two years ago I came across a small billboard advertising service apartments, I wish I had kept the contact name and number. I visited the place (Alwarpet,Chennai) and I must tell you they were as westernised as possible. Just get hold of a copy of free ads when you arrive in Chennai you would find at least 5 such listings. Tariff ranges between 500-1000 per day with a 10-20% discount on monthly basis.
