packing/shipping companies *out* of India?

Hi, we are trying to get our stuff moved from Bombay to Bangkok. I had moved it all from LA here last year (nope.. did *not* anticipate doing this again so soon) and had an LA company provide door to door service with full insurance. The problem is with the company here we got a quote from and their insurance policies. they were reluctant to tell us any details at first. Finally we found out they want to charge 3.5% of the value with a 10% deductible. When I moved here I paid 2.5% with no deductible... and knowing that things could go missing or the container off the ship... worst case scenario, we could have to pay over US$6,000 if all is lost! That would ruin us... and I am wondering what to do.

Do any of you know if international moving companies can be hired to handle a move using an Indian agent? That way we could get the reasonable insurance rates. I'm at a bit of a loss....

Any thoughts will be much appreciated.
