Nursing job in Bangalore following relocation offer
Nursing job in Bangalore following relocation offer
Hi all,
My wife and I are planning to relocate to Bangalore following my company proposal.
My wife is going to graduate nursing school and we are trying to find a job for her as well.
We are trying to find out any information on nursing job and what she needs to do in order to become a register nurse according to India regulations.
Any feedback is much appreciated

You need to register your wife with Karnataka Nursing Council and maybe Indian Nursing Council not necessary though, inorder to continue to practise in India...I think your company should be aware of this..if not make them aware.

try www.indiananurses.org also do a google search and u'l find contacts of people who can give you a better picture. I think it wnot be a problem as India pretty much regoginises nursing/medical drgree from a number of countries( but dont expect great pay scale)
Indiana nurses association? Did you find contacts through them?
I am a graduate RN here in the US, and I have found the roles of nurses, their education, etc. to vary greatly from country to country. I would try to find a school of nursing in Bangalore and start your research there.
Also, your wife may not enjoy the work of a nurse in India, and I believe laguage may be a barrier. Just the same, there could be some really interesting opportunities in Bangalore, and well worth the search. Her skills/education might also be helpful in landing a job in other related areas that have less to do with direct patient care, such as pharmaceutical companies, or in education.
In any case, good luck with your search!
