Networking in India?......
Hi folks, I am wondering how difficult it would be to network into a better job once in India. For instance, if I take on a job and find out it sucks, how difficult would it be to find another job? Of course, the paperwork is an entirely different story - not sure if I can transfer the work permit over to a new employer?. In terms of networking though, what do you think? Specifically, I am talking about a Language Specialist job but also generally speaking. Thanks again! ![]() |

Depends on a 100 other factor, but for language specialist, should not be very difficult..

Yes, networking matters, it's like any other place esp in cities like Delhi, Mumbai etc, this is more so applicable in your line of profession.

Thanks guys for commenting. Just like I thought, it's like anywhere else. My main concern is how open Indian employers (although I will probably be dealing with western employers in my case) are toward networking. Also, what does the job market look like for Language Specialists. Are jobs plentiful or sparse? (if I would have to find a new job while I am there). Thanks Again! ![]() |
