If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you'll find a section with "similar threads" that might have something for you. Opening any of those will again yield such a box at the bottom, etc.

Good luck with it.

Why?

I do not see any advantage for the two of you to legally get married and have your marriage registered in India (and a lot of headaches in store in the future - like when you need a copy of your marriage license).

Perhaps you just wish to have the religious ceremony in India?

Aquarian - wouldn't it be easier for you to do nikah in Bangladesh where you are known and have marriage certificate from that? You may find it difficult to have a mullah do your ceremony without a resident address here. Is there any advantage to doing it here and not Bangladesh? I think it may be fraught with difficulties here (from my perspective living in a backward area, the city may be a different story). Technically, you can do your ceremony in private with two witnesses and not a lot of fuss; up to you how big or small you want your ceremony.

I too would recommend that you marry in the country in which you intend to live, or, at least, the country in which one of you is resident.

At least for the legal registration.

I recall some time ago when my virtual friends from Singapore who are also muslim coming to Mumbai just to get married here!!! They had their taxi driver as the witness!!! They informed me about the "secret" marriage only later on!!!

Cheers,
Aadil.

I'm sure in the big cities you can find a mullah to marry you for a fee...

Contact Bangladeshi consulate/ High Commission

Aquarian,
You need to contact High Commssion of Bangladesh or Consulate of Bangladesh depending on where you are located in India. Consular division of the Bangladeshi Mission will instruct you of the required formalities, and will help you in arranging Qazi. One Consular official will probably need to be physically present during the nikah as well. They will also charge a fee for all these services.
