Yasmina, there are restrictions on new members sending or receiving PM's, so you can't just yet.

The easiest solution is to set up a free disposable webmail address that you can post here for you guys to communicate private stuff just for that purpose. Posting your personal email address is not a good idea, for all the obvious reasons.

there would certainly be hindi schools in the south - because there is a population thee that didnt grow up with the language and needs to learn it (for jobs in national companies, government, etc) I understand that at one school in Delhi many of the Hindi students are south indians.

Hi all,
I've been thinking about going to Jaipur to study Hindi for a month, and I've found a place called Indovacations (www.indovacations.net). However, I haven't been able to find any information on them on the net, so now I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with them and/or know anything about them?
Thanks,
zwiff7

hi Swiff7
yes, in my research to find a good hindi school in India i did notice that a few american schools seem to be affiliated with hindi courses in jaipur. It seemed as though you could only access these throught the US schools though, for example a woman i contacted went via http://www.sit.edu/ - apparently it was a whole program, with trips and lectures etc.. it looked very expensive!
I also randomly found http://jaipurhindi.com/ which looked interesting as it says it's affiliated with an NGO but I have no idea if it's legit. Maybe someone else knows more?

Hi Yasmina,
SIT sure looks expensive, and a bit too fixed in structure as well. I also found http://jaipurhindi.com and thought it looked interesting, but they're not replying to my e-mails and I haven't been able to find any write-ups on them either.

This information posted 2006. We are now 2008. Have things changed at Landour in Mussoorie? Can anyone update me? I'm not really into staying in a Christian atmosphere!
