I'll be at Landour from the end of April to August-ish... I think I'm staying at Rokeby, haven't finalized everything yet.

How have you managed to get in touch with them? I've emailed them twice with no reply!

Two different email addresses, is the email address stated on their website not the correct one?

Perhaps best to phone them, or should I wait for them to reply?

I was there from September to December so made arrangements before I left. Also I have a friend who has just returned and who is confirming my reservation. The owner, Sonam is not all that -- how do I say this -- involved? with his business these days. His wife used to run the business and apparently did it very well -- although was a bit overly strict. Now she has gone off to Tibet to start up a new guest house. Anyhow, try calling to book your reservation. As I recall, I also had to call when I booked my accomodation last spring -- and that was when his wife was running things. In his defense too, the internet lines are not always working -- especially now that they are getting a lot of rain, and bad weather.

Oh, I meant for the school. Have emailed them twice and still not received anything. Becoming pretty anxcious as I know it's a very popular school and I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity.

The school was closed till the first Monday in February, 5 February, wasn't it? Give it some time, and then call, if you can. I wrote in early January, and received a reply a week ago; I replied to the reply, and haven't received a reply. (reply reply reply)

(Somebody mentioned that it helps to be really polite: "Dear Sir", "Sincerely Yours", etc. - but isn't it obvious.)

When are you planning to go? I wouldn't worry too much. Keep e-mailing, or calling. Usually the principal is there in the afternoon. He will get back to you eventually. They are probably just really busy since school has just reopened again. Also the land lines are very, very bad there, and service is out much of the time.

I've also understood that the school can (at least almost) always arrange something to you even if you just show up at the school. It's the accommodation that is the bigger/biggest problem. Good luck, fingers crossed. (I'm still waiting for my employer's decision to let or NOT to let me be on leave in the autumn....)

I'm planning to go around August. The problem is I would need to have a form of acceptance letter as my government approves financial aid to this school... sent them another mail the other day and should try and phone them tomorrow morning...

Well, my sympathy, share your pain. I cannot book really until I have my employer's permission to be on leave, or I can, but then I might need to cancel, or to adjust the dates in any case - I've asked to be on leave in Sep-Dec; they might say Aug-Nov, or spring, or NEVER. Dunno what to do.
