Are you studying for some course? As I leave for my trekking holiday in August; I am short of time..... but thought of posting reply here.... in case someone else turns up. BTW, you have chosen a typical filmi name.... you are likely to have people running towards you or away from you. Are you gonna be working in the movies? Welcome to India; welcome to Mumbai!!

allo! N welcome to Mumbai! :-) How was the past week? hope you were safe!!
just moved out of Mumbai... but would have certainly liked to catch up! u are probably unique in hanging around mumbai, unlike other IMers who seem to avoid it completely, cant say i blame them. Anyway, Cheers, Amit |

enjoy the mountains there..... hope to see some positive reponses on the meetup side...specailly the outing idea. i had gone to Vajireshwari near Virar (Mumbai) this saturday...the scenery out there in the mountains is awesome.....guys lets not miss...lets head out.... over there i got a chance of bathing (after four days) in a natural geyser there...was fun sitting neck-deep in the hot spring with rains pouring on me......not many visitors so was real fun for me. cheers, Amyl |

Everyone's here!!!

The seniors know each other for more than 20 years.... the young crowds keep coming, some stick on... some move on. IMHO, it is the one of the few trekking clubs with a truly cosmopolitan crowd. Anyone can feel at home instantly. Again, IMHO... they are not aware of IndiaMike or AvidTrekker. They know me by my parent-given name. After the general meeting, some of us die-hards move to a beer joint nearby and guzzle. I drink water. This is up to 21:30. Then, if the mood persists, the further die-harders will go for a fish dinner at Bharat or Mahesh. Here again, me am a veggie... So.... that's about the Trekkers meet. If you are not overly fond of trekking & the Himalaya, you will not enjoy beyond a single Wednesday.... so I guess one has to form a Mumbai IM chapter on one's own strength... where the IM'ers can gather. However, I am definitely for a mountain gathering rather than a pub gathering. [I can't do anything at pubs???] I know nearly ALL the famous & not-so famous hiking/picnicking spots around Mumbai. If the people want, I can suggest a few... Quote:
BTW, are you in Colaba [South Mumbai] where most of the foreigners choose to stay?? |
