I have a friend who was denied entry to Europe last year due to some reason and now he wants to leave for the US as he has a valid US visa. He wants to know if he can leave India again? Will the outbound immigration officers interrogate him before he boards the plane because he was deported earlier?

No idea. That "due to some reason" is the key. If it was suspected activities, then it is likely that LEA (Law Enforcement Agencies) are obliged to comply. If not, then Indian immigration should not care. Then there is the question about what was stamped in his passport when he was denied entry.

Thanks for your reply nycank. Nah, his record is extremely clean. What happened was that he changed his school when he was in Europe and he went back to India. He didn't knew that he wasn't allowed to change school. When he came back to India, the school cancelled his visa and when he went back from his holidays, the customer officers detained him and refused him entry. He didn't had any criminal issues at all. Just administrative ignorance.

So if he ever tries to leaves India, will the immigration authorities offload him? Is he stuck in India forever despite having valid visas?

He should be okay to travel. the Passport officers at Indian airports couldn't care less if he has a valid passport and visas. It may be an issue for him to re-enter the country he was deported from, but it is unlikely that this would impede his chances of an entry into the USA. The immigration authorities have the final say, regardless of any visa held.
