House purchase

Hi,
Presently I am residing in Jamnagar in rented house. I am belongs to Ahmedabad. I am working in Private firm. Now I wanted to buy House.

I am confused about where to buy house. I am thinking of buying house in Jamnagar/Ahmedabad/Baroda. If I buy house in Jamnagar & my job get transfrred, I have to sell my house. I am worried about resale value of the House in Jamnagar.

As I am belongs to Ahmedabad, I can buy house there also. but the prices are very much heigher side. I have to pay rent in Jamnagar but I will not get that amount of rent in Ahmedabad from my house.

Please guide me.

It looks like you are an Indian, in which case this is probably the wrong (expat) subforum.

If you are an expat, you are normally not allowed to buy property on a working visa. An NRI can.

That aside, there is no sense in buying property for a year or three in Jamnagar; if you want to invest in property, suggest choose where the appreciation in value will be the most, amongst the cities you are looking at. Ahmedabad may be better than Jamnagar

In the long run, you may be better off doing so, even if you have to pay the difference of rent (from what you get in Ahmedabad and what you pay in Jamnagar) out of your own pocket.
