I'm planning a trip to India nest year some time and I'm looking into the possibility of doing a bit of call centre work in Delhi to start with. I'm English and have call centre experience but don't know whether the call centres in Delhi employ westerners. I'd be very grateful if anybody knows anything about the subject - rates of pay, hours, whether accommodation is included, links to websites etc

Many thanks

I know that here in Pune they do employ Westerners, but you will of course need a work visa, not a tourist visa. Don't know about rates, it depends on which project they put you, some are better paid than others, but an acquaintance once said he can make up to 20,000 a month (250 Pounds) - I guess that would be long days, 6 days a week - roughly a Pound/hour. I don't think accomodation would be included, but not sure.

You may be taken for language/accent skills or cultural knowledge. There are others on this board that do similar work. Hope some of them see this page.

You'll need an employment visa, and you'll only get that in your own country when you have the job offer.
