expat club in Delhi
expat club in Delhi
Hello,
I've just moved to Delhi, I would like to know if there is any expat club in that city, or a place or activity to meet people in the same situation.
Anybody working in Noida?
Rgds,
Lluis

Luisete there are lots of clubs for expats here in Delhi. If you're here long term and are registering with your embassy they can hook you up with orgs that they're associated wth. (American Club, AWA, Anzac, The Canadian club that doesn't want me because my husband is american etc.)
There's also Delhi Network which i think is a hoot. This org is much more multi cultural than most here and the monthly get meetings are a great way to meet new friends and find out what's going on around town.

Keep us updated on what you find. I will be moving to Delhi at the end of Feb.If nothing else, I've already got a golf buddy, so if you like to golf would be happy to show you the courses and play together.
as mentioned the delhi network is the first club to check out. if nothing else it is a good source of information. also, get in contact with your embassy when you arrive. many have clubs, or can help you join clubs. if you play golf, there is a british golf society, which welcomes memberships from all europeans.
Register in Spanish Embassy
Hi Lluis,
I have a few Spanish friends here in Delhi. There is a big community of Spanish people in New Delhi. Also, i would suggest you to register yourself in Spanish embassy & get invites for exhibitions, movies & special programmes. This would help you to meet other people.
Take care

It is an expat club and meeting group. Some people love it, some hate it. They have an office in the shopping walk in the Hyatt regency (open weekday mornings as I recall). They have once a month meetings, a pretty decent guide book and a less interesting monthly newsletter. Similar Threads
