commuting to work

Hi all,

I was curious how people in delhi commute to work.. I know this is a general question but I thought I'd ask anyway and see what response I get.

My future office is in Hauz Khas Village so I'm trying to find a place to rent probably in Defence Colony or thereabouts. Although, I must admit, I dont know where the closest/best neighborhoods are Hauz Khas Village are (which I will ask my future boss right now after posting this)

But I was wondering what other expats do who dont own cars, dont have a DL, etc.

thanks in advance!

I do it by car.
Nearest neighbourhood to you is Hauz Khas Village or Hauz Khas

Hauz Khas or Green park will be fine for u , area is still nearby, Def Col might be a little further but if u are driving then u got other more choices already.

Hauz khas, Safderjung Enclave, Gulmohor park are the best options. Gulmohor park is quiter & greener.
Good luck.

Me, I do it by car now but previously I used to do it bus and what fun it was (in retrospect). If I used to get my usual bus, it would have familiar faces and the conductor would stop if he could see me running on the road to catch it. But if I missed it, I got a bus that would take me all around and then come to my destination or I would have to change two buses to reach to the office.

for me before i got my transport settle, i rely on the autos and they are really, cheap, fast, convenient and available at every corner~~

but not everyone likes them, i rem my friend's driver in Bombay used to call them INFESTING COCKROACHES hehheh, those autos in Bombay are all Black and brown with dust, just like a cockroach~~~
