Buying a 2nd property!

directed at you most experianced mob.

brother and his girlfriend lived in delhi for nearly a year working and travelled about. we went out to visit and fell in love with the place after travelling about north india. going to explore southern and goa this year (December)

problem is that we want to buy a 3 bed flat in gurgeaon (outskirts of delhi) but are advised that as we dont have residents permit (now) and will not be spending 6 months of each year in india that we can not purchase freehold. we are aware that when invested the money is dead money as it can not be drawn back out of india.

have tried speaking to indian lawyers but no news

any help welcome
