Many congratulations on your success

And your post really makes sense. Despite my early scepticism I can see how technology can make some of the early contacts work out accross oceans, but I can also see that an employer would be more likely to take an applicant seriously if they are in the country.

I guess it can work out both ways...

Hi Nick,

Thanks very much for the congratulations post. Its been a goal of mine for a year since visiting India just over a year ago on holiday, I found when I got home I had just not had enough of the place. I have spent endless hours, weekends, days and late nights preparing for this and I am looking forward to returning in a couple of months once I have said all my goodbyes and packed up, although I will be departing before a Sydney summer which is a bit of a bummer - but hey there is alot more to do in Mumbai that I have never done before and so many people still yet to meet.

My contract should be here this coming week its taken a little longer as the role has been created for me based on who I am and no doubt what they can get out of me. There will be a bit of negotiation I guess before I sign but I am ready and cant wait to be there. Since being over there a few other companies that I didnt get to meet have gotten wind of my trip and want to meet with me when I get back....there is a world of opportunity in India and I wish anyone who has the same dream, every success.
