It'll be pretty tough, but I'm sure there must be somewhere to show it. I remember seeing a club rugby from England on some sports channel. I wonder if there are any Aussies dominated parts anywhere in Delhi or Bombay?

You have no chance in India. No-one's interested. Anyway the season has ended.
AFL is so crap they got rid of it on satellite TV here in Australia. And just so people know what you are talking about AFL is the abbreviation for Australian Football League, except it's not football it's Australian Rules Football.

My cable in South Delhi has the Australia Network (just added a month of two ago), but I haven't seen any AFL games yet. They did show the Rugby League playoffs recently.

Over 20 years ago when I lived in Ireland Aus Rules Football was very popular and it was shown on TV (and we only got 2 channels!).

I'm in Mumbai I've had Australian Network appear on my tv about 2 months back and they definitly show AFL.
Was thinking of getting DishTV or Tata Sky installed before it popped up all on its own on normal tv. Thanks god cos now i can watch the Rugby and see the All Blacks become Champions of the World at the World Cup next year.. mwwwahahahahahaha |

Sorry, gone a bit off topic. I'm pretty sure I've seen Aussie cricketers doing promo stuff about Australia in India, so it should not be far until you could get Aussie rugby footy and Aussie rules footy on pay TV in India. Hopefully they show some Super 14 rugby union when I'm in India during February. Wishful thinking. |
