Travelling from Hyderabad airport to Hyd Deccan Railstation

I have to travel from the new airport in Hyderabad to Hyderabad Deccan rail station. Is there a rail link or do I need to go by road?

No rail link.

Cab will be around 4/500 rupees, roughly an hour and a half during the daytime, less at night.

Alternately, you could take the airport shuttle bus into the city (150 rupees) and then take a autorickshaw. I would go with the cab- easily available at the airport.

Edit:

Hyderabad airport: prepaid (not radio) taxis?

I have always taken the cab - be careful - there are drivers of the Green Cab (I forgot the company name, but, they have green Mahindra Logan sedans mostly) that charge a premium and are very pushy.

Instead, as you come out of the airport, at the street, turn left on the pavement and you will come across Prepaid taxi booth. They have the charges posted to various destinations and that is the best.

The other choice is the airport shuttle bus - I hear that it is very good and reasonable in cost - I know they have a website (it is posted on the back of the bus!) - may be a web search will unearth it. You will need to find out if it stops at your destination.

Cheers

GMR buses are really effective (Cost wise and traveling time wise)

I have taken these shuttles more than couple of times. You can take them till a point and from there hiring a auto or a cab to nampally is not going to be a problem.

Hiring a cab from Aiport is really costly.
