Hi there!

Does anyone know of any good swimming pools in Hyderabad around Banjara Hills/AC Guards? Indoor place would be great!

I'm still to come across one... Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Try the starred hotels. Indoor pool will be a problem, though. Krishna, Taj and others at Banjara Hills. Kakatiya Sheraton in Begumpet will be far.

Alternate is clubs, though you will need membership.

Hotels are more expensive but cleaner.

Novatel, of course, has a really nice, pretty big pool. But I never see anyone in it for some reason.

Hey,

Thanks for the info but I actually did check with the hotels (Krishna, Banjara & Deccan) with no luck. Apparently they don't offer that option anymore n its meant only for guests. Very depressing!

Novotel's nice but too far away

I don't mind clubs but it doesn't make sense for me to get a membership coz I'm not going to be in Hyd permanently.

What I was keen to know was if there are any places (clubs, health clubs etc) which offer a temporary membership (6 months) or so? That is, if there are any places...

Let me know if you guys know of any place. Thanks a ton!

Health clubs outside hotels/clubs will not have a pool.

Am surprised with the hotels saying 'guests only' (actually even a couple of clubs have a 'members only' rule for pools)- I would have thought you can join the health club at a hotel and get use of the pool as part of the deal.

Other alternative is to go to a few clubs and ask them. The country club comes to mind; they have a health club and a pool (outdoor) and always seem to be looking at creative ways of making some money.

They are in Begumpet/Greenlands area, though. Maybe closer than Novotel from A/C guards.

Or Nizams club?

The Taj Krishna has had that restriction on for a while. I literally had to beg to get my Health Club + pool membership last year. I guess the other Taj Hotels are following the same plan. I think they are keeping it restricted to make sure the actual hotel guests have access to the gym and pool and it's not overrun with expats.
Couple options: 1) If you come to the Marriott and have thier Sunday brunch, they will let you use their pool. 2) The Ista hotel doesn't seem to care if you come in for a spa treatment if you use their pool afterwards.

Neither option is great....

If you have any friends, you can go to the pools at
"Myhome Navadweepa" at next to Wipro Office at hi-tech City.
"Malaysian Township"

The public clean swimming pool is at Gatchi Bowli Satdium as well.

Hi,

I'm looking for swimming pools in and around Banjara Hills/Jubilee Hills area and came across one called Dolphin swimming pool on Rd No. 12 Banjara Hills. It's a little small & i'm not too sure about hygeine. So if anyone else knows about this place & can provide some info it'll be great.

Question Swimming Pool in Hyderabad

Hi Everyone,
I stay in Kondapur and work in Gachibowli. Is there any good swimming pool nearby? I searched on net but didn't get any swimming in Madhapur or Gachibowli. Though I read about Gachibowli swimming pool I didn't get any contact information/ reviews.

If anyone has any info please post it here or mail me arch04in@gmail.com

Thanks!

Dolphin - Rd # 12, Banjara Hills - not very clean. I paid the monthly fees (1200/-) and did not go after 3 days due to an ear infection.

There is another called Callista on Rd #12, but supposed to be only for ladies so not sure.

You can use the Taj Banjara swimming pool (my vote for best maintained pool in the twin cities) on Sundays (375/- per person)

There is a pool in Sloka the school - if you know any contacts there.

There is a pool in Police Officer's Mess in Masab Tank - you need police connections for this.

Vijaynagar Colony has a muncipal swimming pool - questionable hygeine.

LB Stadium is supposed to have a swimming pool - never checked it out.

Gachbowli stadium does a monthly membership - about 150/- per month I think.

There is a fitness club next to IndoAmerican Cancer Hospital on Rd #14 which has a swimming pool.

Jubilee Hills Club has a pool - membership is supposed to be Rs 5 Lakhs.

Where else??? I will come back if i remember.
