Has anyone stayed at the Residence Hotel in Hyderabad? I was just wondering how central it is/what the area is like? The address says it's near the Lake, address is 5-4-187/5,S.M.Modi Complex,Karbala Maidan,Necklace 500003, Hyderabad.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!Thanks.

Dang, and there I was thinking that staying by a lake would be a nice idea! What's the area around the hotel like? Is it fairly central?

Thanks for the response, baba420.

Hmm, we still need to plan our 3.5 days in Hyderabad but my husband is very taken with the mughal/colonial history of the city and is keen to visit any and all related monuments. We both like visiting heritage/historical sites. I'd like to do some shopping so maybe Laad Bazaar. And of course we both love eating and have heard good things about Andhra food. We're not really interested in seeing the film city or Hi-Tech city.

To be honest I'm finding it difficult to get a sense of the layout of the city, so not what's central or what's not etc.
