Job Market in Hyderabad- Marketing

Hello All,

I am a fresh university graduate from Toronto, Canada with a bachelor of commerce degree with a specialization in marketing management. I have 3 years PT experience doing various marketing activities (Development and implementation of marketing & advertising plans, research and analyzing, etc). I was wondering what the job market is like in Hyd? I would like to start working ASAP as I am just sitting on my ass now. What is the salary range expected? Rent? etc. etc.

Thanks~

Congratulations on your graduation.
I remember your posts last year in IM. you got a number of responses then. I dont think the situation has improved in the last one year.

I should say its worse now with the recession and all that.

If you "really really" want to visit India, you should take a lower paying job.

But I believe you should have a job in hand before you arrive.

Agreed, I have been hiring people for marketing jobs and the salaries are low by western standards especially for new graduates.

With experience things can improve rapidly but its not until you are head of department stage that salaries will approach western standards.

It might be better to get some experience under your belt and then look at coming here.
