Info required on conveniently located budget hotels in hyderabad

dear friend/s,
we are travelling (from gujarat) with 2 senior citizens, to visit hyderabad and srisailam.
we need budget hotel at such a location that we don't have to travel locally too much.

we are reaching hyderabad on 23rd dec'08 at 12 noon.
we thought of going to the salarjung museum on that evening.
then, on next day - 24th - morning we plan to visit charminar, mecca masjid. and after lunch, visit golconda.
25th morning we would like to leave for srisailam and stay overnight.
on 26th late morning we plan to leave srisailam for hyderabad - to catch a night train to bangalore from kacheguda.

1. any suggestions about the above itinerary?
2. what is the best place/area to saty so that we don't have to travel long distances?
3. we are looking for budget hotels - below 1000 rs room-night (non-AC would be fine). would you suggest some?
4. aren't there any APTDC hotels in hyderabad? what would be the room rates?

thanks
biren

To the OP, if you raise the budget to around 1400, Yatri Nivas is a good option- discussed on this forum a few times recently, do search. It is a privately managed and government owned hotel

Your 24th plan may be a little tiring; you need about 4 hours for Golconda, including travel; more if you want to visit the Qutub Shahi tombs.

Perhaps because advertising/commercial activity is not allowed on indiamike. A mod may have deleted it. Just guessing
