Thanks for the link Razzaq. Ms. Vottery had a little reply to an article on the city's Heritage week in the India Times. Do you have a walk coming up soon? I've been busy but I'd like to take a proper look at Old City.

Charminar during Ramzan
You might have heard much about the sight of the area around charminar during the ending days of the holy month of Ramzan.The area is crowded with people even at 2 30am with shopkeepers selling everything from kurtas to tuty frooty.Standing tall among all this chaos is the Charminar, illuminated subtly.Here are a few pics I took the last time I went to Charminar.

Should I call ahead to reserve space? Can I walk around afterwards? And yes you are free to walk anywhere afterwards.Personally i tell you just take care to notice the routes and also listen to the guide about the history and other titbits of info.You can always come back later to take the pics.
