Housing in Hyderabad (Feb-May)

A friend and I are moving to Hyderabad for 4 months in February to write our thesis in the healthcare field. It would be great if someone here could provide pointers on how best to look for short term accommodation in Hyderabad. We have contacted the Goethe Institut/British Council already and would be happy about further suggestions.

We were advised to look for housing with climatization in the center of Hyderabad since we will spend a fair amount of time working at home (our contact institute is located 10km outside of the city).

Thanks : )

All the people working at Goethe, British Council and your local contact institute are residents of Hyderabad so request them as a personal favour to help search and tie up your accommodation. Hyderabadis by nature are extremely helpful and so these people will certainly help you conclude your search.

Everyone in Hyderabad looks up in the local English daily morning newspaper called The Deccan Chronicle for rental of property.

The paper is at http://www.deccanchronicle.com/

Go to e-paper and then browse the classifieds daily since you still have 3 months and if you like something, ask your local contacts to check it and revert back to you.

By the way, in India, we call it an air conditioned flat / bungalow / paying guest accommodation and not "housing with climatization".
