best place to live - in Hyderabad (gated communities?)

hi,

We are considering to move to Hyderabad to live in the near future. My employer will pay for the rent of a house with a generous budget. I have tried to figure out where the best places are to live, but generally end up with areas and no specific recommendations of housing projects or similar. We will be going for a visit next week and the company has put us up with a real estate agent for a recky, but my previous experience with these agents are not too great and I am afraid that we might miss places or areas that the certain agent doesn't have on its roster.

Can someone help out with recommendations or are there any sites with resources on this? how are the gated communities over there?

appreciate any help. cheers! Siggy

Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills are the trendiest places to live. But, it will cost you if you want a large place/house.

However, given Hyd traffic you probably want to live near your place of work.

Move to Hyderabad

Hi Siggy,

Welcome to India on your pre-view trip. I can understand your point about real estate agents not showing you the right place. As I understand from my experience the pre view trip sponsored by the company may not exceed 5 days, its important that you finalise all arrangements while you are here.

I can recommend a destination services provider in India who has got an office in Hyderabad too and they specialise in assisting expats. Yo may wish to go through their website for more info. if you wish i can put you on to someone directly at GA, as I know them since 2001 and my company still use their services at an ALL India Level and they service many Corporates.
