Apartment for student of Osmania University

Hi,I will be arriving in Hyderabad at the end of July to start my MBA course in Osmania University.. I am planning to rent an apartment preferrably in an area which is walking distance from the university. Could any of you provide me with information regarding the apartment rental scene in hyderabad. What would be the best approach? Should i go through like a real estate agent or something? Im planning to stay in like a studio or a 1 bed room apartment, are those available fully furnished? Also if by any chance any of you are from Osmania university,i would like to know is there a big international student population in Osmania?

Any response/suggestions will be highly appreciated

Cheers...

Hi! I'm also an international student (although so far, I have been accepted to delhi university and awaiting the result for osmania uni). You can go to the website searchmycampus for my information on housing. You can also go to sulekha to search for apartments and flasts. It's very useful.

Hopes this somehow helps.

Yeah it would be nice to know someone. At least, I'll have company when searching for a place in Hyderabad offering Nasi Goreng and Sate Ayam.

And as already stated in the other thread, you could also call UFRO for help in accommodation as well.

reza: just go to UFRO and befriend the many Iranian students there.

x_kidd: sorry for the late reply. I can send you my vodafone number. I arrived in Osmania last week.

BTW, my country is Indonesia's neighbor in the east. *wink* Hope to see you around campus. Most of the international students here are Iranians and Sudanese. So, I do feel kind of left out and wish to meet at least a few people who are a bit more culturally similar to me.
