Anybody stayed here?
Having done loads of research on IM and elsewhere we have finally come down to three hotels. I wonder if anybody has stayed in any of these or would have a specific recommendation (maybe even other hotels!). Anyway here on my current final three, in no particular order.
Taj Mahal Abids (the old style hotel with quirky features but no website or online photos) Sai Prankash - www.hotelsaiprakash.com Hotel Rajdhani - www.hotelrajdhani.com We like quirky and interesting but also clean, with nice restaurant and maybe bar. Thanks Joe & Nicki |

We stayed at the Taj Mahal in Nov 07. The room itself was pretty ordinary but the building is nice and the staff were helpful. You can see some photos here:

But we asked for a couple of big buckets of hot water which they happily brought to our bathroom each evening that we used 'mandi-style' to wash ourselves. |

Please try Yatri Nivas.
Should suit you a lot. You have a PUB attached and you also have 3 types of restaurants attached to the hotel. 1. Tamarind Tree - South Indian 2. North Indian Dishes - (Bar cum Restaurant) - Forgot the name of the restaurant 3. Barbecue and Tandoori Foods - Forgot the name of the restaurant Its is a nice place to stay, centrally located in hyderabad. Easy to commute to places. 24 hours room service and 24 hours hot water, TV and complimentary breakfast too. One advice, Ask your room to be in the first floor. Ground floor rooms (Although A/c) gets a lot disturbed (Sounds) due to the kitchen nearby. First floor is so peaceful and quiet. |

Stayed in November 2007 a couple of nights in Hotel Saiprakash. The room was very good. Very good restaurant too. Have paid 1400 per night, a bit expensive for my usual budget when traveling in India but the other cheaper hotels I saw before were not good.
