Any international student from Osmania Uni or Uni of Hyderabad?
Hi! I am an international student who applied at various Indian universities. So far, the only result I received was from Delhi University informing me of the University's approval of my provisional admission which will be finalized once I obtain my student visa.
I have a question regarding University of Hyderabad and Osmania University. I have been trying to contact University of Hyderabad regarding admission results for international/foreign students but the response I only get is to call in the next 2-3 days. I also sent an e-mail and I still have not received a reply after almost a week. I applied in Osmania a bit later than others who have posted here (I guess) so the results regarding my admission will take more time. For those international students here in IndiaMike, how long did it take for you to be informed by the Osmania University regarding admission results? ![]() |

Hey -
I also applied to various institutes in India for a graduate degree. With Osmania I had to call and harass the UFRO many many times. They too told me to call back in a few days more more than once and they never answered my emails. From what I can tell (I have yet to move to Hyderabad) it is a huge school with lots of tiers and paperwork. Don't feel like you are being annoying - just call repeatedly until you get an answer.... Let me know if you get in! and best of luck!! Ashley |

Hi Ashley! Thanks for the advice.
Both Osmania University and University of Hyderabad frustrate me but staffs in UFRO are at least much nicer than Hyderabad's. I twice sent an e-mail to University of Hyderabad. When they did not reply, I even faxed the same letter regarding my inquiry of admission results. Still, no reply. I called again today and was asked to call again on Monday. I wonder why the admission results for international applicants are taking so long when they already have results for local applicants. It becomes so stressful when waiting for the results especially when classes are about to start soon. Moving to another country is not easy. Oh well... I was asked by the staff of UFRO to call on Tuesday for admission result. I sincerely hope that the result of my application will be out by then and not in another 2 days like what they usually say. I have also been checking out Osmania's website to know when is the first day of classes but there is no info regarding this. I do hope everything will turn out well. I honestly cannot imagine myself studying in Delhi U and living in New Delhi. Living in Hyderabad and studying in either Osmania or Uni of Hyderabad just seem to be a much more fruitful and unique study abroad experience for me. If everything turns out well, hope to see you in campus. ![]() |
