Super Powers?
I heard that you can see magical things and people with super-natural powers in India. I think they are call Skiddis. Is there anywhere one can go to see these things? I am going to Dehli, Agra, Jaipur and Jodhpur. Thanks!

I had an eerily accurate palm reading in some small Tamil village way way out in the countryside. The man had very little conception of what life in the United States was like but was hitting some stuff dead on... However, I got through to him becuase he was a friend of the Village patron whom I was studying with in Chennai...If you are looking for quality astrologists/fortune tellers, I would ask around...

some say that if one does yoga and meditation for a long enough time, and if one is so inclined, spiritually, one can develop siddhis. my teacher has said that people call him up all the time to ask "if I do yoga will I develop magical powers?"........

Plenty of such people are found in India and elsewhere and if they're worth their salt they'll know how to tell a good story if nothing else; throw in a bit of common sense and some basic psychological intuition and you may have a real thing going, it may even be really worthwhile to you. Speaking for myself I've had my palms read on several occasions, with very different results -- often based on the same significant lines however. Go figure, you'd think there must be something there, but now the question is how to read it ![]() |

For some reason, I find it hard to believe that a person can tell my future by reading the palm of my hand,
call me skeptic. However I have heard that some can. And how about the people who reads cards?? If you are an unlucky card player- I would not suggest doing this. When I arrive to India- I will see how I feel- maybe I will find a good astrologer / fortune teller/ siddah- I will be going trekking up north- so maybe there might be a siddah around the area I am travelling too. Thanks for the info Machadihna |

Our minds work in mysterious ways, kick out odd stuff every now and then that hasn't been processed through whatever we think of as "my mind". I suspect people who do the self dicipline of concentration do aquire abilities to know in a way that the rest of us noisy, talkie-talkie monkey brains do not. I don't think it's about magic however, more just natural abilities that simply don't normally operate very well in cluttered mental environments.
