It is better for you to stay in China where there are no hippies. |

Katora, I am a reformed hippy and have tried hard to mend my ways, I travel to India as often as I can and will soon hopefully be living there. I like many shall pot up everywhere, I still like flowers, I follow a teacher that confirms that only Love is the Path of Truth, personally I really enjoy music and I am a vegetarian. Gads, I still must be a hippy.
![]() Now I am on behalf of many hippies offended by the fact that you do not like us, do you know many of us, are we awful, do we smell, is our hair untidy, I shaved mine off but it is long inside, is it our beads, the way that we kiss and hug those that we meet and like. Oh God what is wrong with us, do we steal, murder, rape, do we say nasty things, are we prejudice is that it. I know, it is that we try to live in harmony, that is it isn't it, harmony, I bet we are all greenies at heart, saving whales and kind and generous to fellow human beings. No, we are against pollution, destroying the planet, corruption, exploitation, that's it isn't that's the one that is upsetting. Sorry, Shit Happens Luv. All sarcasm aside Katora, such prejudices against people will only cause you a great deal of grief, India is not the place to go if you have prejudices you will not enjoy your journey and in many ways your life is very shallow, even hollow if you have such thoughts and feelings. Maybe it is time to consider unconditional love and respect for all people, whether they are racially, socially, culturally or physically different from you. If it is the Political or Cultural Narrative of China that Hippies are nasty people then time to leave China in a big hurry sister. ![]() |

I think our member, seventies'hippy is to blame, I will try to prevent him from getting a visa, the whole of India will be a safer place to travel if he is prevented from leaving England.

This is the funniest thread I've read in a long time! The people you should be really scared of, Katora, is those who cut their hair short, washed under their arms, put on suits, became accountants and IT managers but remained free-thinking individuals on the inside. Maybe you had a business meeting with a hippy today? Are you safe anywhere? I wouldn't like to name names, but you might be reading posts by hippies right now! |

Don't let all these jokers throw you off. China just put my country on the list of places they will give people a visa to visit. Is a visa for India something new or have they just opened up? If you are really afraid of hippies you should know that India is where they learned how to be hippies. The Indians taught them and then they took it all over the world. |

Dont disgarce any one
Trust on this one
Tomorrow there is a psychedilic Trance open air party in GOA at Hill Top Given a choice i would go there to get all the energy from the Hippies and the DJs that will be there from around the world. Line up for the Hippy Party tomorrow 23 Jan 6am-8am Manu & Domino playing together 8am-11am Jehan /janux 11am-1pm Govinda 1am-3pm Riktam (GMS) 3pm-6pm Domino 6pm-8pm Manu 8pm-10pm Mike Maguire (ex Juno Reactor) shold be a blast. bom. Just like any community there is good and Bad - Swear on God Goa is the safest place and the safest people to be with are the hippes in Goa they are the most peace ful people.Given a choice in life i would turn a hippy. Some said Hippes steal - this is so general Every type of people steal its not just limited to them But Boss trust me Goa is the safest place. I swear. You can do your own thing . DONT WORRY ? Be Hippy |

The scariest thing Katora is that you start turning into one in India...
..first it's the prayer beads round your neck.. ..then the shawl.. ..then the glazed, happy look.. ..before you know it you luurve everyone and everything.. WOOH be afraid, be VERY afraid ![]() |

Actually I just realised why I felt so at home on my first trip and each subsequent trips to India, all Indians are Hippies, its true, look at the hare krisnas, anyone that wears a sari, hippies wear saris. What about the dudes that rub themselves in the ash and have dread locks, wo hippi, how about the musicians and the people that sell stuff on the streets, all hippies. But what about the middle class Indians, they're cool, just like the hippies that went to uni and flipped out for a bit then found IT, wo hippi in the apartment hi ho. Well anyone that waves incense about and puts colour on their fore heads just has to be a hippi, actually Catholic Priests do the incense bucket and play with beads, wo hippi.
That's it there are more hippi's than non hippi's, peace and love man ![]() |
