| According to Hindu priests, it is apparently one of the 8 propitious days this month. This may probably set a record for maximum number of marriages in a single day in any city. Found another news article on this subject. |

| Here is what I found on the link "The Hindu wedding season runs from May to mid-December, with the bulk of ceremonies taking place once the monsoons are over in September and peaking in November." The facts are different - Between the first week of July and till the eleventh day after Diwali (November) hardly any weddings are solemnised. There are about eight muhurats (auspicious days) in November and December, after which a lull sets in till the 14th of January (the day when the lunar and solar calander coincide). Then begins the SEASON, with marriages galore in February and March. In all there are about 45 to 50 muhurats every year.

| Hmm.I saw MG in India Habitat Center...on 18th Nov evening about 8.20PM. I was driving out and she was walking in...I couldn't stop my car as the car behind mine started honking as soon as I tried slowing down.
