Weather in Manali

We are planning to go trekking in Manali from 21st September. We have heard that the weather is very bad over there at the moment with lots of rain. Can anyone tell us what the weather is like at the moment and how it is likely to continue? Don't particularly fancy trekking for eight days in rain but at the same time really want to go trekking. Not sure whether to cancel the trek or not.

Yes, its raining buckets in parts of North India right now.... but don't defer your plans.... by the 21st it should be quite all right. These spells don't last more than four days or so...

Its difficult predicting Himalaya weather.... so don't crucify me if i go wrong...
