Weather in Himachal Pradesh in May - June

We're planning to go to Rajasthan, but it looks like it might be unbarably hot. As a plan B, would Himachal Pradesh be barable in May-June and also, safe and with plenty to offer?

hi i just returned from manali solang after 3 weeks of fun
this years trip was very different than previous years...
i packed for wet cool weather but was shocked to find it 30c
it was hot hot hot....in fact the snow caps have receeded way beyond my expectations...most mountain tops where 80% rock with very little snow...deo tibbs was also showing rock....i would also like to report that i was very disgusted with mcleod ganj dirty...overrun with western wannabee mystics...i have read many comparisons of mg to thamel in katmandu....it aint close...at least the nepalese are cool laid back ...food was terrible in mg
and my final conclusion unless you plan to stay in bhagsu or better still triund i would avoid this area all together

hi i just did a 3 days trip to Chail and Kasauli in Himachal,i came back on wednesday.Weather was amazing in Chail between12 to 25 degrees,Kasauli was a little warmer but still quite good.
