Visit to Dalhousie

Hi,
I'm planning to travel to Dalhousie and Khajjiar around Oct end or Nov 1st week. I would request the following inputs:

1) How cold will it be around that time.
2) Is that the right season to go in terms of greenary etc.? Coz i visited these plance 6-7 years ago in May. At that point it was beautiful. So just wanted to make sure its as pretty even in Oct/Nov.
3)Some good resorts at Dalhousie (higher range hotels preferable).
4) Also we are quite flexible with regards to dates, so if its better to travel during some other period, please do give me your suggestions.
