7 days are just not enough. unless your aim is to just touch manali and come back.
vadodara delhi will take one day. its like 1000 - 1200 km, (assuming two drivers and 16 hour a day). delhi ambala is 3-4 hours. plus its another 300+ km of hill driving. so thats 4+ day of driving, if you just drive. and 2 + something days in manali |

You should book the hotel in advance because it will be convenient for you.

vadodra -ahamadabad takes one hour.
then ahamdabad to Jaipur will take at least 8-10 hours. it took me 12 hours coz i left boring 6 lane road at udaipur and went to jaipur via ajmer. you may break for the night at jaipur. or if you can find a good motel/hotel around Gurgaon, you may as well opt for that. entering delhi after driving all day can be a big pain. (dont forget to massage your right foot that works the gas paddle et the end of the day. i had really numb foot after two days of driving) next day, try to cross delhi as early as possible. after that drive till ambala should be easy. chandigarh -ambala can be tricky if its still under construction. (can someone else please update BOB on this?) there is a left turn for manali (via MOHALI) within few KM after entering chandigarh. (ask anyone for tribune chauk and take left there). i have not done rest of your route so cant help |
