Hi Bijon. I've merged your two threads here so that any answers that come back are all in one place (it helps to avoid confusion for members if the answers can be confined to a single thread instead of spread out over two or more threads). Also, if you haven't already, check out some of the related threads at the bottom of the page.
good luck.

1. instead of recong peo try to stay in kalpa.
2. going all the way to kaza just for a night stay may not be worth it. you should stay atleast one full day in kaza/tabo to do the amazing place justice. i have done this trip early this month. you can read my trip report Trip report : kinnaur spiti tour - april 2008 |

I think we all have that problem. The idea is to strike a balance between the time you have , the places you want to see and enjoyment.
For example on 6th , as i mentioned earlier as well, there are just too many places. Going to Kasauli and back from Shimla means 3 hours in driving time in itself plus say you spend another hour and a half..thats 4.5 hours for one place alone... A casual stroll through the mall can take upto i.5 hours as well. Theres just not enough time, plus keep in mind that unlike Delhi/ Mumbai etc Shimla shuts early..there's not much of a night life from any perspective.. |

your schedule will be very hectic and you will not be able to enjoy.......... 1) you have planned to start journey at 5:00 am everyday for continuous 6-7 days - if you are going with family and children it may be very tiring 2) local drivers may not agree to your schedule as they have better idea of what can be covered in a day....... also keep into mind fatigue of driver 3)you won't be able to enjoy and appreciate places if you just pass by giving a halt for 30-60 mins .......... you need to spend more time .... in our trip initially we had planned to start from sarahan in morning, see sangla-chikul in a day and halt for night at kalpa.......... but after getting feedback from driver we changed our plan, spend one night at sangla and we are glad we did that 4) if time is a constraint and this is your first trip to this region, leave kaza-tabo for another time and spend more time in shimla-sarahan-sangla-kalpa......... BOTTOM LINE: SPEND MORE TIME AT EACH PLACE, EVEN IF THAT MEANS VISITING FEWER PLACES Quote:
if you can book a whole Qualis it is better to travel on your own and just do the hotel bookings thru Diamond tours

Joining the chorus: too rushed an itinerary.
The Himalaya is like cognac, has to be sipped slowly.

Tea too hot
Quote:
You might have to sip tea faster, thats true literally and otherwise. Septempber is quite cold as far as Chitkul is concerned. The trip can be done but you cant stray too far from the vehicle ![]() Sarahan to jeori-30 minutes Jeori to Wangtu - Around 2 hours Wangtu to sangla - Around 40 minutes Sangla to chitkul - 30 to 45 minutes Back to chitkul Wangtu to Rekong Peo - 45 minute to an hour Rough estimate, considering its empty roads and small vehicle with experienced driver on these roads. |

How not cold "isn't very cold"? It wud be helpful to provide temps and let people decide for themselves whether it's cold, not cold or not very cold. Capt and I might be seen in a t-shirt when it's 9 C - everyone isn't built the same way.
