3) As I informed you earlier, it is very tedious to drive directly back to Delhi, a break in Shimla/Chail is advisable.
To get some more idea about the destination you may check out my blog -

Thanks Sir for useful info. Going through your blogs, very much useful. I decide to take stoppage at Narkanda(Either Hotel Hatu or Hotel Mahamaya/Shyam Regency) on onway journey and at Mashobra (will hire 2 BHK flat near Club Mahendra) in the return journey.
Is it possible if I Will stay at Kalpa but will spend day at Rakcham?
Is Chitkul roads may open in this time, if yes then will stay at Rupin River View at Rakcham and will visit Kalpa on the day of return journey.

Thx again

Got confirmation from Apple pie (at rakcham) owner through a friend, it has closed the operations for the season. I will try to give rupin river view number which is the other option there.

I just went to Spiti Valley in July this year and it was simply amazing. Heavenly experience , i think it is one of the most under rated places in our country in terms of shear natural beauty.

Sharing my videos of the trip.

Mid September most probably the pass would be open. Unless there is unexpected snowfall.

The road in the valley of Lahaul between Gramphoo and Batal is usually in super bad condition. Once, you cross that section, the road on either side of the pass is much better, at-least relatively. It's dusty, but not bad.
