trekking near macleodganj - advice? partner?
Hello all,
I am sitting here in lovely macleod ganj, wishing that the trekking opportunities were a little more numerous. I've already done the 1-day trek to Triund (twice) but I am looking for a place in HP where I can go on numerous 1 or few days treks, ideally a place where I can use a base camp. I've thought about maybe heading into the Parvati or Chamba valley.
Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? I like dharamsala fine, but it would be nice to be a place where I could go on numerous treks without the bother of a guide.
I'm also looking for a travel partner for a few days or a week to do all this, so if you are interested, respond or send me a PM!
cheers!

yes, there are many treks in parvati & kullu though i am not familiar with them myself.
But while you're in mcleod, you know that the trail from triund continues up to the indrahar pass (next to the big triangular peak you can see from town) and on to the chamba valley (to machetar.) I have been up to the pass and it is indeed a very fine trek. You can also trek to kareri lake from mcL and up to another pass in the dhaula dhar.
Pm me if you need more details...K
