Question Traveling with Family in Delhi and Shimla

1st Noobie posting guys and gals:

Looking for advice on good places to stay in Shimla with family (my wife and 2 children, ages 11 and 5) in last week of June. Us parents are both 40 but reasonably fit. We need someplace clean and relatively quiet (i.e., no crazy Israeli charas-crazed parties) (not that there's anything wrong with charas, Israelies, or parties with them, I just want to be able to sleep!)

Also any suggestions of things for families to do in India in general!

Welcome to IM.
If you are looking for quiet & peace stay at the Palace Hotel in Chail. Great ambience, walks & panaromic view.
Another good option is the Wild Flower hall.

Hi,

Another Good Option to Stay around Shimla would be Hotel Peach Blossom in Fago, about 25 Kms from Shimla.

It's located on top of a hill, and is at a much higher altitude than Shimla. As you are travelling in June it will be much cooler than Shimla. There are spectacular Views all around the Place, and it is very quiet and relaxing.

You can see some pictures of Hotel Peach Blossom in the last write-up in the thread copied below.

Enjoy your Visit

I recommend HPTDC's Hotel Holiday Home at Shimla. Its a premium hotel of the HPTDC and is located a little away from the main town, which will suit your needs. It has a good restaurant too.
