Transportation Manali-Dharamsala

Hi,

We (2 people) will arrive to Manali on Thursday, and after a few days we need transportation to Dharamsala. We don't want to use a bus, and prefer to hire a private jeep + driver. It is my first time in the area, so I have a few questions (a bit nervous that I won't find good transportation):

1. Would it be difficult to find car+driver for hire? Do you know any recommended companies in Manali that I should contact?
2. Is this something that I need to book a few days in advance?
3. How long is the ride and is it difficult (bad roads)?
4. How much is it reasonable to pay for such a ride?

1) No. You can contact taxi union office at Manali to hire a car.
2) Not really required.
3) Its 230 Kms. Will take around 7 Hours. Road is good.
4) Taxi will charge Manali to Manali. Will be around 3500/-.
